A reflection on attending every District 36 Spring Conference since 2003. What it means to show up, lead by example, and watch your district grow year over year — even as it transforms into something new.

Leadership is not a title — it is a practice. It is the choice to return, again and again, even when the work is hard and the recognition is quiet.

As District 36 becomes District 220, the spirit of those conferences lives on. The faces change, the banners change, but the commitment to communication and leadership remains the same.
